Educated at Harvard; St. John's College, Santa Fe, and the U. of Chicago. I went to Chicago to prove the Chicago economists wrong. After discovering that they were not wrong, I began a dissertation under Nobel laureate Gary Becker on "Ideas and Culture as Human Capital." I have since become more interested in Hayek than in Chicago econ due to an interest in creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

I like private incentives, but I worry that the demand for university degrees is grossly distorted by government policy and should be much lower.
